Driverless cars

Could you honestly keep your hands off the the steering wheel if you had a driverless car?

If the technology used for driverless cars is as 'brilliant' as that for Satnavs, the accident rate will rise enormously, imo.

I think that is a terrible idea. All driverless cars should have an override mechanism so they can be driven in the usual way by a someone who has a licence and can drive a car safely.

You wouldn't need to pass a driving test surely, so instructors and dvla would lose money.
I would sit in the back and give instructions and advice!
