Leaf tea

I had forgotten how much nicer it tastes than tea bag.

Well someone did stop over last night so I woke her (the spare bedroom you understand)with muesli+slices of banana and properly mashed tea.

Re: Leaf tea

It does taste a lot better OG. I particularly like orange pekoe although I don't have it very often. I think that might be because it involves washing out the tea pot. Pure laziness.

Re: Leaf tea

Rarely these days it's so much easier with a tea bag that's quite sad really.

Re: Leaf tea

I love loose leaf green tea but find the used leaves a nuisance to get rid of so mostly use tea bags.

Yes, I'm a good recycler but its getting the leaves from the teapot to the bin which is the problem, you have to fish them out with your fingers although I'm sure there must be a better way.

I had one of those contraptions that you put the leaves in and put in the cup but it didn't close properly and the leaves ended up in the cup so that didn't work either!

Re: Leaf tea

A better option, in my opinion, is the contraption that you put in the teapot after having put tea leaves into it.

Quite easy to empty out although, admittedly, not quite as quick and easy as a tea bag!

Re: Leaf tea

Actually JBR, yours is a good idea and I never knew those existed until now. The one I had was designed for a cup and was next to useless! I took it back to the shop for a refund.

Re: Leaf tea

If you don't want to use a teapot, one of these is quite handy and far easier to clean : https://www.nealsyardremedies.com/we...teas/3350.html
