Greece is bankrupt and just been bailed out again. (Kept that quiet)
Italy is not far behind and Spain and Portugal are to be polite struggling.
The only 2 main contributors to this behemoth are Germany and the UK.
We are funding a slowly sinking ship and we have little say who gives the orders on this version of the Titanic.
We are the EU's biggest customer and if they don't deal with us they will struggle even further into the depths.
If we set deals up with Japan and the USA we can get goods to replace Germany. We can buy wine and cheese elsewhere. (if not our own!)
Africa grows coffee beans which they cannot roast and sell to the EU due to tariffs as Germany has that stitched up. Africa in general is struggling so we could help them to move forward.
The EU will eventually implode so why do the Remainers want to put more money in this future disaster.
Which business would have 2 head offices and move from one to the other at a tremendous cost in time and money.???
Hi
Interesting post.
Where do you get your facts from?
They are very much at odds with those published by our own and other Governments.
Take the coffee thing for example.
Here are the facts.
http://www.ico.org/documents/icc-107...iffs-trade.pdf
So the EU puts a Tariff of 9% on less than 1% of the 12% of World Coffee Production which is grown in Africa.
So what?
It will make naff all difference to Africa.
As for cars, you seem to forget that 50% of UK Car Production and 90% of Commercial Vehicle Production goes to the EU.
We put tariffs on EU Cars, they put tariffs on ours, that is how WTO Rules work.
No, I am not a Remainer, I voted to leave.
The sooner we get on with reducing our dependence on the EU the better.
I cannot, for the life of me understand why we are still giving Billions on foreign aid when we could be putting it to better use here.
