Re: Will this make it easier to see GP?

I think that's what she intends to do JBR, it seems a bit of a daft situation, particularly for working people.
Also I wonder what happens if you don't have a house phone? I can't get a mobile signal here so it would be impossible if I didn't have a landline.

That will result in some arses being kicked, I assure you.
I doubt it if it is any similar to the response I got when I made a written complaint recently.

Well it did in my case.

Practices don't like adverse comments, especially those that become public knowledge.

Interesting new system this morning, saw the GP she wants to see me again, so she made the next appointment on her computer as I sat there. Perhaps they really are listening !

Not appointment related, but another interesting improvement.

My wife saw the GP yesterday who gave her a prescription for some medication. Rather than handing her a printed prescription as has always been the case, she sent it electronically to the pharmacy next door, who had it prepared and ready.

Not an enormous step forward, granted, but interesting.

That's been happening here for a couple of years and yes it's helpful.

Re: Will this make it easier to see GP?

Hey!
Tried out the new system this morning after a painful night with my leg!
It was very good!
I phoned at about 11am, my GP, not my favourite one but another good one, phoned me back at 12.30, got am appointment at 4.50
I had a bit of a wait when I got there but, that GP usually has a five week wait for appointments!
I'm having a scan too! Woo hoo!
