Re: Polish or not?

Do the Polish make cars?

The car that stayed the cleanest without washing was my white Vitara, you'd think it would show more dirt!
My little Yaris is dark green, never polish it, the moss is attractive.

Re: Polish or not?

Don't know much about the Suzuki range as there are not that many dealers and most attached to the same showroom as other brands. Have to say I havn't heard of any problems with them. Sometimes the shape alone does help in preventing dirt staying and this might be the case here.

Toyota great make, have had several cars from toyota and never let me down. personally I would not polish your Yaris but a bucket of soap and water may help.

I have just invested in an adapter to my Karcher pressure washer to use "Snow Foam". this covers a car to look as if it is covered in soap suds and left on a car body for a few minutes then washed off.

On advantage is it doesn't smear window screens like say a wash/wax does which is a real pain to remove

Re: Polish or not?

Yes, always polish your car, it does protect the paintwork, if you did it say two or three times a year that would probably be enough, as for removing paint well yes it does, depending on the polish but it would be negligible as it would always be adding a protective layer, the best way, would be to clay bar the entire car first then polish and follow up with regular washing with car shampoo ( not fairy liquid)

Re: Polish or not?

I wash my car once a year and polish it every 3
It's not worth bothering with tractors going up and down the lane ...

Good idea to get rid of bird poop asap as it can etch into the paint and can be very difficult to remove, sometimes it has to be repainted

Re: Polish or not?

I use the local ca wash place.

For £6 it's not worth the hassle of doing jt myself.

Re: Polish or not?

Hi

I clay bar mine when I first get them, then polish.

After that just a good quality wax.
