Re: The Polish and Others are leaving.

Good now we must start training our own people, then with luck there will be more housing, with more choice greedy landlords may have to rethink their rent policy. (I am sick to death of you remaniacs knocking Britain and British workers.

Sell up and follow them out the door.

Hi

Not often I get so so annoyed, but here goes.

Bollocks.

We do not have enough, nor are we training enough those specialists we rely on.

Get rid of EU Doctors and Nurses and the NHS would collapse.

Zoshia has now gone to |Germany, we were paying her £96k a year, we are now paying a stand in £260k a year for weekends only.

They cut my Pension by 20% and no increase for 5 years.

They can swan off.

I am not going to be working for them for £35 an hour, they can pay the going rate, which is £150 an hour.

My Barrister Ex has upped her rate, from £2000 a day to £6000 a day, which they are having to pay.

If those figures are correct Swim, it is no wonder that the NHS are short of money Why would anybody choose to come here and work for the NHS, if their qualifications could earn them even more elsewhere?
It does make me wonder why somebody earning £96K a year couldn't afford to rent their own house ( or even buy) rather than renting a room at your place.

This is what I can't understand. Why are your Polish friends leaving the UK in droves if they can earn far more here than they could in Poland?

Yes, the pound has gone down in value, but surely they still earn more here.

I do agree with you, though. Skilled workers should be welcomed; dossers should be kicked out straight away.

Hi

They come here without a house, but need accommodation in the short term until they can find something suitable.

I am quite happy to provide it, as are others.

The fall in the £ means that they are looking elsewhere.

I cannot blame them.

Hi

Simple Maths JBR.

Last year £1 cost 6 Zloty, now it is 5 Zloty.

A massive reduction in earnings.

The skilled ones are going now going elsewhere.

My daughter, God bless her, has not spoken to me or her Mum in years, she communicates only via her brother, Guy.

She is moving to Germany with her Company, a loss of £4 Billion a year to the UK.

So does that mean that it is now more financially beneficial to work in Poland than in the UK?

Or is it that they are going to Germany or other EU countries where the Euro is worth more than the pound?

I would have thought that, on a salary of £96K a year, it wouldn't take them long to find a place of their own.
Surely if the £ falls in value they will still be earning £96k, which is good earnings. I would think that the only way they lose money is if they are sending sterling back to Poland and the polish currency is doing well, because they will get less zloty per pound.
If they can earn more elsewhere, then good on them, but you have to question why they came here in the first place if the Euro offers better returns.
You can't blame Brexit for your personal financial situation, and I do understand that it may reduce your income..... but if we desperately need people from these professions, then there are plenty of others, in this world, who would appreciate such a good salary.
