I still have never had a speeding ticket or even a parking fine in 54 years of bike/car ownership.

Got done for speeding once, over 40 years ago.

I had to go before the Magistrate at that time.

My reason was that I was dashing home to find out the result of my Finals.

Did you qualify was the question asked by the Magistrate.

I am so pleased for you was the response, you will no doubt be able to afford the fine I am now imposing on you.

I don't think i'll qualify.....43 in a 30....though there are mitigating circumstances I doubt an appeal would be successful.
