Would you??

I just mentioned to my Lady earlier that I had ordered some mussels to arrive on Friday and if she popped in to get some it would save her cooking when she got home. They are things in shells?

This took us to snails. `Snails are not easy` I say. `Can be superb but can also be like rubber with burnt garlic`

Oh I would never put something like that in my mouth.

Love Mussels - dripping in garlic butter or white wine sauce.

Snails - no - nasty things.

Had steamed mussels - done in white wine - this last Saturday.
And garlic bread. Yummy!

I tried a wee bit of snail once - all i could really taste was the garlic it had been cooked in. The texture was rubbery. Never tried them again.

Late OH used to remark that our baby tortoises might be yummy stuffed with garlic butter
