Your friend's camera must have been the earlier G690. Mine and all subsequent versions were fixed lens. Mine is a 90mm F4 - that's like 39mm F/1.8 on a 35mm camera.

Here are three of mine, Voigtlander in the middle, I know they need a clean but, I like old things to look old, not shiny, they're not being used except as ornaments so it doesn't really matter that they're "Shabby Chic".
