Had a look here is what i found.

Canon EOS 40D
f/7.11/664 310mm ISO400

The lens was a canon 100-400mm, and i had the camera on multishot, and center spot.

I was following the grebe through the lens expecting to take a single shot when a coot wandered in below me, the grebe headed towards me and would have been about 10 to 15feet away.

Right time right place, i was lucky.

Pity the subject matter is not really suited to the Countryfile Calendar competition this year which is 'From Dawn till Dusk'.....

I asked for them to be removed Tess, glad that i could post the grebe sequence together, rather than have just the one on its own. i thought i had lost the last shot, over time ive probably lost 4000 images due too various problems.

My team just beat Bristol City.

Nom we had one on our sister site 'Dogsey' with members dogs in the photographs but it was a bit of a performance to organise ...

Good grief man, I sincerely hope you are going to hide 'em behind something then? How about a carrot? Or a brussell sprout?

We did a Steampunk one, it cost more to make than we got back from it, probably because one bright spark thought we'd sell 200!
Good idea though, members will buy it I expect.
