Bannockburn
Today is the anniversary of the battle of Bannockburn in 1314 where the English army was defeated by a much smaller force commanded by the Scottish king, Robert the Bruce after they attempted to lift the siege of Stirling Castle. To me, it was no coincidence that the Scottish referendum took place in 2014, exactly seven hundred years after their victory.
I was wondering if some of today's Scots mark this major event in their history?
