I don't mind snow, it's the slippery pavements I hate, too many times have I ended up on me bum!

We have just enough to acknowledge that it has snowed. Just looked at the online forecast for here and there are red alerts all over today and tomorrow! ! Thankfully I have enough food in store so will not need to venture out any further than the freezer in the garage, and I have enough cards to make/books to read/writing to do to keep me busy for weeks !!

It is a winter wonderland today, which we could well do without, although the main roads are clear. It wasn't too icy when I went out for my daily walk this morning.

Had a quick look at a couple of social sites but didn’t stay long. All you get is pictures of snow. Anyone would think it had never happened before. 🤭

Only about a quarter of an inch of snow on the ground but it froze hard so it's like an ice rink. I tried to get the big salt bin at end of road the council provide for us to do the slopes out of the carpark and the paths to our flats but it beat me, I couldn't lift a shovel of salt, didn't quite realise how weak I had got. so with a tea cup I did what I could, have to admit slight disappointment at all the fitter healthier men that simply drove past me on my freshly salted road as if they hadn't noticed me struggling. But I suppose they were in hurry to get to work.
