Re: What a great speech!
Politics aside ,this speech was memorable for Red Ed's powers of recall.Re: What a great speech!
I'm not very politically minded Arthur but I did catch a bit of his speech on the TV and it was very impressive, he sounded genuine and confident, and if he is then they are good points for good leadership in my view. Maybe there's hope for you all yet.Re: What a great speech!
Well, what do know, the Nu-Labour now want to be old fashioned Labour, Millibrand wants to take us back to the 19th century, they are building their future on Disraeli's future, ' One Nation ', Brown and co nearly took us back to the stone age so I suppose Millibrand is more up to date than he was. Yet again, numerous politicians have used the ' One Nation ' speech when trying to impress others, the latest before Millibrand was Boris after the Olympics. It shows how much Labour have now become poor Tory's.Re: What a great speech!
I think it should be remembered that speeches given by leaders at party conference are usuallly written by a team of speech writers and have little to do with the person giving the speech . All that person is required to do is to learn the speech off by heart somthing schoolchildren used to be taught to do with the aid of poetry when I went to school.Re: What a great speech!
Long on rhetoric, very short on content and no hint that he would bring Labour back to the Socialist principles it once stood for. Milliband is just a younger version of Bliar and until the Labour Party takes a very marked step to the 'left', I'll have nothing to do with them!!!Re: What a great speech!
