So we also started our own dog account. Which really worked well for us, as last year one of the pups got pneumonia which wouldn't have been covered by the insurance. Thankfully we had the money in the dog account to cover it. (It was a lot!)
It also saves the hassle of dealing with insurance. Which personally, I can't be bothered with any more!
As said, they love to take your money, but getting any back from them is a whole different story.

I agree LMB. Unless you are unlucky enough to need a huge highly specialised operation, it rarely pays IMO.
