Turned out to be a lovely afternoon.Think all the motor bikes in Wales passed my house this afternoon-must have been a rally somewhere.

It started wet and windy here then we had some sunshine. Met my friends in town today for coffee and a chat. Jac I emailed Maureen Wilson and she was asking for you. She was with us in Inverness when we met up with you and Anne and her cousin.

Sunny here today with a few showers. Went into town and treated myself to a pair of boots.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Had an interesting afternoon going round Sir Roy Strong's garden "The Laskett" a few miles outside Hereford. Think it would have been a bit more attractive a bit later on in the season when the plants will be a bit more prominent. Atm there is rather a lot of hard landscaping, which isn't really my cup of tea, but it was very interesting to see. (Must have cost the earth - but he and his late wife have been 40 odd years making it). We picked a good day to go, a lovely drive down the Golden Valley and sunshine and breezes all afternoon.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Nice day here too yesterday. It was youngest grandchilds 5th birthday, so went to see him yesterday evening. It was 24C the day he was born,. so quite a contrast in weather but still nice. Daughter saw oncologist and thrashed out her further treatment. She seemed sa lot happier post appointment. She has decided against Chemo. It raises her survival by 0.95% She has decided that for all the evil side effects of Chemo, for so little return, she is going to give it a miss. There were a lot of other reasons why, mainly because of the sucess of the surgery and the good prognosis. She starts Radiotherapy in 4 weeks and then hormone therapy.
