I have frogs

Frogs in my pond. The first time I have seen them since around 2003 when the grass snakes invaded my old village.

I'm scared of frogs! their leaping around unsettles me and they're slimy too.

I have to say when I read the thread title I thought you had some kind of transmitted disease

I don't like frogs very much, but when i had a pond they were quite a few. One day in springtime my neighbour said i'll help you empty your pond, as i wanted to fill it all in and turf it back to how it used to be. He came back with a pump and started it up, they was nothing in the pond, well at least i thought they wasn't? until he'd reached the bottom and they were 3 dead frogs looking strange and yuk They had exploded, this must have happened over the Winter months when the ice formed over the pond and not leaving an air lock? well that's what i think... Have you heard of this before?


You'll never believe it my neighbour got one out but couldn't manage getting the others out for feeling sick, uh! So i had to do it.

No frog spawn this year and none last, although we did have some fogs in the pond last year. Loads of newts live in and around it. Found one yesterday when I moved a brick

I love frogs! People often give us frogs and tadpoles but they never survive in our pond. I'm not sure if it's the grass snakes that eat the frogs or the newts that eat the tadpoles. Either way it's really sad!
