Yes Dobra.
I have been using Sophos, which was recommended in my Web User magazine.
It is FREE, simple to use, and works a treat.

You can download it from here...

If you have an Apple and no security the according to recent reports you are living in a fool's paradise.

I can't find the article but they are expecting malware and hacks to target Apple's new money system because Apple products have reached that critical mass that make it worth while.

Hi Azz.
Absolutely none.
I just did a fresh scan of 827760 files with no problems, and believe you me, I go to a lot of 'dodgy' sites (including this one)! and never have any viruses or malware.
Have had the odd warning not to proceed on whatever site though.
Particularly the porn ones!

I also use FREE Avast.

and that is brilliant as well.
Just don't accept any invitations to 'upgrade' at a cost.
In my opinion you don't need to.

Sounds like you didn't need one after all Kenny

Re: Question for those who use Macs

I was advised by the Apple store to add a protector, the Sophos has piked up adware and PUA,s
What they are I don't know only happy they were quarantined.
No virus protector was a sales gimmick by Apple, as Bruce has said if you are using Apple without be it on your own head.
