Do you have a boxed Windows 7 installation disk with a key number? If so, I think you'd have use that and choose to format Windows 10 away during the Windows 7 installation procedure. If you haven't got these, you'd probably need to buy a Windows 7 installation disk and key ..or perhaps just buy a key and download the installation disk from Microsoft:

I'm pretty sure that the Windows 10 key wouldn't work if you use it on a Windows 7 installation.
If you decide to do this, you'd probably need to read up on how to avoid the upgrade to Windows 10, or ask here about it once the decision is made.
Edit: Apologies. Windows 10 mistakenly referred to here when it should have been Windows 8.1. If the computer came with Windows 8.1 installed, it would likely be a clean installation rather than an upgrade. This being the case, the above will still apply. Still going to need a Windows 7 key and installation disk.
