Re: Email
I have four e-mail addresses and recently spent time organising the mess that they were. They are set up in Thunderbird using IMAP (not POP) so that what is done in the e-mail program also happens up on the e-mail server. Only the e-mail headers are downloaded to the program until an email is selected to be read, then it downloads.
Each email address has an additional folder called 'Keepers'. Inside each Keepers folder are the emails from the past 6 years, all organised into yearly folders as shown. No rubbish in them and now kept on top of. I might eventually decide to delete a year or two from each address but they do no harm by being kept.
It wasn't necessary to organise the emails one by one. Thunderbird's 'Archive' function was used to do it automatically. Also some action needed up in the webmail side of things.
