Google closing Picasa

For anyone using Picasa you need to find an alternative.

Thanks for that Solo, i use Picassa and it seems Google have followed Flickr not too happy with the way Google photos looks, Many of us dropped Flickr for just that reason.

Also wonder what will happen to all the images ive put on here and elsewhere will the link be broken.

I’ve been using Photobucket for years. It’s free to use.

Picasa have given some alternatives. Photoscape looks promising but our technical members should be able to advise on the best one suitable for all our needs.

Yep as i suspected takes ages to upload the albums on Google photos a real mess just like Flickr now. Will probably end up deleting all my online images.

Oh No. I have always used Picassa too, I don't know any other way. I've got hundreds of my photo's stored there.

You can still access them via Google Photos and do all the things you could in Picassa web as i save my images for use on the web and blogs at certain sizes they do look different on GP.

Oh . . I'll have to have a look and see if I can do it then. Can I save more new photo's too?

I assume so, and they are saying they are going to do something for users of Picassa web.
