Asparagus / grass smelling pee effects some but not others , it is all down to the possession of an enzyme.
I can often tell what I have been eating from the smell of pee, fish and bacon in particular and of course asparagus which I eat lots of living in an area where the best asparagus in the world is grown. The thin sticks called sprue are sold of quite cheaply and are delicious steamed and served with melted butter
