Re: Here we go again.

Hi

I am normally a very laid back type of person, but this really gets to me.

If someone tries to rob my house, or mug me in the street, that is fine, it happens.

They are putting their health on the line, and whilst I am not invincible, I am very, very good at defending myself.

An awful lot of your Taxpayers Money has been spent on making sure that I am

Cyber Crime annoys me, it really does.

Some years ago my Credit Card was used in an attempt to order over £900 of goods to an address in Glasgow.

It was picked up by my Bank, they rang me, and it was stopped.

What really annoyed me was that the Bank refused point blank to give me the name and address in Glasgow where those goods where going to be delivered.

I would have had people there to grab these Criminals the moment the goods were delivered.

The Bank refused to give these details, or even to make a complaint to the Police.

The reason the Bank gave was that they did not want the publicity.

That is so, so wrong, but nothing that I could do.

Re: Here we go again.

Amazes me Swimfeeder. A few years back the car was broken into in a Brighton car park. The disabled lady with us had left her hand bag under the seat which was taken along with her disability pension book.
The DHSS were informed being a brand new unused book and they sent her a new one.
When the new one expired she did not get a new replacement, seems it was sent to a rough area of Brighton Post Office, where a person unknown was drawing the money each week. Then worse they could not be bothered to cancel the new book and the police could not either.
So a person was just allowed to walk into the same post office once a week and draw a large sum of money for one year and nobody gave a toss.

Just one reason why I refuse to use internet banking, even though the banks try and try to make me.

No matter how good a bank security system is, there is always someone out there who can outsmart it, probably an 8 year old !
