Having started this thread I pointed out that I could think of other examples but was reluctant to include any which were contentious and would result in political arguments.That was certainly not my intention so can we please revert back to my original question and only reply positively if you are able.

These make me proud....the RED Arrows the best display team in the World on a pic I took a few years ago...
Red London bus that makes me proud as well and the London Underground map designed by Harry Beck and the idea of the map style is now seen all around the World.
Brilliant eccentric Brits like Grayson Perry make me proud of the culture we export to the World.

Yes.....I remember it well.
I was in Gran Canaria when it kicked off.
I had pals(all brothers)serving in the RN, one was on HMS Penelope and the other on Glamorgan.
I went with Paul's parents to welcome her and her crew home.....July '82.
