I inherited a Blue Bird Hibiscus when I moved here 5years ago.
It looked like large twig stuck in the garden(it was January).Luckily I left it alone and it's become a lovely large bush covered with blue flowers.

We have put a saucer under the pots to capture more water, give the plants a chance Malcolm they are only just deciding if they like that arrangement.

Well they will die then and we will have learned a lesson. Although many of our plants we stand in water and have no problem so I'm not sure how true it is watering from the bottom is so bad.
