Re: Possession aggression

It can be done we had to do it for many years and it becomes second nature after a while, worst problem is if you become too complacent but after what has happened I cannot see you falling into that trap so I am sure you will be fine.

I know... That was what happened.. we were very careful with food and chewbones.. but became very lax with the toys because we have the new puppy and he loves to play with toys and he was always bringing them out and leaving them laying around. Now all the toys are tucked away in a plastic covered bin. So the baby now brings out all my shoes and leaves THEM laying about.. lol! Can't win.

Re: Possession aggression

I take Mollie for a walk in the evening when my husband gets out the toys and Betty goes generally nuts with them, rest of the time they are supervised closely. Not afraid Mollie will deliberately hurt her but the difference in size means Mollie could sit on her or roll on her and do damage. Just wondered if that was a possibility ? Gives older dog a one on one which she enjoys greatly and means Betty gets a mad run around with no dangers.
