Re: Weight training and the over 50s
I don't pick weights up Action Man but being in my 60's I find carrying shopping the mile back from Tescos is enough for me. After a cup ofRe: Weight training and the over 50s
I don't do weight lifting, though I do certain exercises like chair dips and sit ups, but I run pretty hard at times. I managed 2x a day training a few days last week consisting of some hard sprints and then a recovery run. I find my body still recovers fine (57) and I can still handle pretty tough sessions but my biggest hurdle is a lack of motivation. I have the 'been there and got the t-shirt' syndrome and it is hard to shake off. Pretty sure at some time or other - maybe soon - I will rap it all in and take up some other hobby like photography or art and merely become a spectator instead, only doing the minimum to keep reasonably fit.
