I know, I know, pass the bucket.
I never thought about this site in quite this way, Dogs, but you are right. When I come on this site, I'm looking for someone to put a smile on my face.
You've just set an example for me.

Now, about the desire part, yes, there are one or two who let me know I'm in their thoughts in an eyebrow wiggling way.
A great feeling for me, hope it never fades.

It doesn't have to mean rampant passion like a teenager, but just 'wanted' or 'needed' sometimes.

I believe it was 80% of people said they didn't ever feel desired.

I found that huge percentage quite sad.

I know some of us haven't got partners/spouses etc, but still 80% is a huge figure, especially for those who are in a relationship as well.

They said it was sad when some people, male or female, try to make a special effort for their loved one, but end up feeling they may as well be invisible.

Any feelings on this?
I do feel desired .
All the time so I am one of the lucky ones .
I just look at my husband and love him .
He always makes me feel wanted .
It makes people confident to know someone wants and need them .
Without it people can feel alone even in a relationship and that is very sad.

The spark is sometimes lit, but I feel more desired when I need to mend something or carry the shopping tbh.

Yes, I have always been desired by my hubby.
I might even be desired by others, but that is something for me to know.

Re: Do you feel desired?

I have definitely felt 'desired ' in the past but have no wish to be now

Being desired is not always a good thing I might add.
The year after my husband died I took my little boy on holiday to Devon and we stayed in a lovely hotel in Dartmouth . We were having dinner one evening and a man in a suit alone at the next table never took his eyes off me, it was so embarrassing. He then sent a note to my table via the waiter asking me to meet him in the bar later . It spoilt my whole meal

There have been other occasions when I have been 'desired' having had no wish to be, I think young widows are seen as fair game by some men.

Re: Do you feel desired?

Erm... yes by my husbands and partners and boyfriends in the past.
But not now as I'm not with anyone.

I know, I know, pass the bucket.

But I do feel amongst the other ladies a twinge of 'desire' from Dingaling's lovely post.

Mups, I don't feel desire one little bit anymore. Something changes when you hit a certain age. I miss being desired. I would love to have that again, but I doubt it will happen.....
