Parts of the story and some of the pics have been published in a book about the pioneers who settled in Australia. It's called, Westward to the Sea, but I believe it is now out of print. Luckily my Mum has a copy.

This is my Mum's bit with her on the right of the piccy with my Gran.



The family bungalow under construction at the top and completed at the bottom.



The Carnamah Historic Society have all the negatives from my family's time there now, including one of my Grandad cutting someone's hair. I donated the hand clippers to the Society as well that I found when clearing my parents home a few years ago.

Wow what an interesting history of your family Fruitcake. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that What pioneers they were and so resourceful. You must be so proud of them.
