Do you still get them?
And if you do..
What causes them?
Oh my goodness, yes Rhian, I get them when I am with the Doctor at the surgery and he is giving me results of a Scan or tests. I also get them when I get the envelope containing the result of my Smear Test.
I get them too when HWMO goes for results and walks back indoors with news of how it went.

Those butterflies only subside once I know everything is okay. Then it is usually a quiet prayer of thanks to him up there.

Re: Butterflies

I think butterflies in the stomach are due to the autonomic nervous system, the division called the sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for our 'flight or fight response' among other things
