Dementia

It is reported that 2million people in the UK now suffer from Dementia
And at present there isn’t a cure Why not?

Why is this happening in these modern times when life is so much better and easier than previous times. There are gadgets to help with all daily tasks entertainment and holidays, except for the unemployed who understandingly get very depressed .

It seems to occur in all walks of life
Many affluent people also suffer from some form of Dementia and Alzheimers , even though they want for nothing. How can their life be so difficult to cope with?

Perhaps some people are born with a propensity to be depressed and are very sensitive to any problems that may arise so just can’t cope
Maybe they should be taught by parents or taught at school ‘How to cope with daily problems'.

Re: Dementia

I think there is some confusion between dementia and depression here

Dementia isn't depression it's plaque growing in the brain .
Thus it takes many different forms sometimes as well as failing memory there loss of sight or mobility .The person is no longer the one they were they don't recognise their loved ones and may become violent and difficult.
It's very sad and nothing to do with being affluent or poor .

Depression is deep and chronic sadness but has few physical symptoms .

Hi

There is a wealth of evidence that frequent sex slows down the onset of dementia.

Get going ladies, five or six times a day would protect both you and your loved one.

Re: Dementia

Well I was talking about dementia, some dementias seem to come with depression attached, understandably I think if you are young with young family and find you are losing yourself.

A belief commonly supported by the male of the species .

I find this post offensive because the poster doesn't seem to know what he/she is talking about.

Hi

Far from it Muddy, it is all to do with the release of chemicals in the brain.

If it had been men who had done the research, sex would have been hourly.
