Very sad news
I was fortunate to see him live 4 years ago at The Pavillion in New Brighton and he had us with tears rolling down our faces within minutes, and he was still going strong 5 hrs later when we finally left
Not only a very funny man, an intelligent man and a humble man
He will be missed very much in this household

I am so, so sad to hear this news as l love Sir Ken Dodd. He was so funny!I saw him twice in the last five years, when he appeared locally. l don’t think l have ever laughed so much.
In his eighties and he remembered, every joke, reeling them off for hours, like gunfire, one after the other.
Sir Ken, I am proud to say, l have your CD in my car and l play, ‘Happiness’ and sing a long to it..... Rest In Peace.. Sir Ken

Ken Dodd was not my kind of comedian, but he didn't tell rude jokes not did he insult anyone , not that I know of anyway. One has to only but admire a person like him who has the ability to not only engage an audience but make them happy at the same time. He developed his own unique style of comedy, something a lot of modern comedians are unable to do.Yes he will be missed by many, such a shame there are not more like him.
