Appointment I was supposed to attend today has been cancelled, so am 'at a loose end', which will give me the time to spend in the kitchen and cook a cottage pie or a toad-in-the-hole!!!

Making soup and bread and cheese on toast using yesterday's bread. Must be something there we can all enjoy. Nathan's day off today he's working Sunday this week, my husbands van has broken down so he's on his way home now too. So should all be here for lunch today.

Lunch was cheese on toast, to use up the bread. Tonight will be homemade chicken curry.

Mushroom and brocolli risotto with shaved pretend Parmesan on top.

Tinned pears with chocolate custard for pudding an old school favourite of my husbands.
