I've just seen that online ..
It was collecting 1,000 signatures a minute until the site crashed.
It's now at 126,416 signatures.

EU Referendum Rules triggering a 2nd EU Referendum

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.

We'd be batting back and forth for years if 60% was needed.
It was pretty obvious to everyone that it was going to be very close and so about half the country were going to be very disappointed.
Scotland wanting another referendum of their own is entirely different. They have good grounds.

Ooo dear!
I'm going to shut up about it all now, I'll pop back to this thread in a few years though, just to say something beginning with I and ending with... so!

Did you miss the fact that Scotland had a referendum in September 2014 and 55.3% voted to remain part of the UK .
You really should keep up with the news .

Re: The Aftermath of the referendum

It's got to be said Sturgeon does have good grounds for wanting a second Scottish referendum.
I don't know how many Scots then were influenced by EU membership .. a great many do seem to want to remain in the EU according to the stats last night. Though it would reduce it to an 'either or 'between the UK and EU.

Re: The Aftermath of the referendum

Perhaps the Scots could be encouraged to pay for and build a wall or fence ala Trump between our two borders if they choose to leave the UK in favour of the EU?

The Roman Emperor Hadrian already did that some 2000 years ago.
