Sorry Tess, I like Alexander. I love his sense of humour, and yes, he does sometimes make some sarcastic comment, but it's usually well founded. I like him because he get's as much as he gives, off Richard, and he takes it in good spirit.

We like Pointless well enough but think The Chase is better, so that's what we mostly watch while getting the dinner ready.

I don't watch quiz shows, apart from Pointless. Such charming and delightful hosts, usually making excuses for the not very good contestants that frequent the show. Apart from those who give hilariously incorrect answers. And even though the contestants aren't very good at quizzing they tend to be nice ordinary folks, for the most part.

And the clever thing about the show is everyone watching thinks they know a lot more than they actually do. It's a great family watch as well.
