Re: MP's reject animals feel pain.

I suspect more 'stirring' from those who wish to 'remain' by adding as many amendments as they can to the EU withdrawal bill .

We the UK introduced the issue of animals being sentient beings to the EU in the first place and don't need any lessons about it from the EU (teaching grandmother to suck eggs comes to mind) . Some of the member states treat animals appallingly and don't apply the same animal welfare standards and laws that we do.

I am sure whatever is or isn't in the withdrawal bill our high standards of animal welfare will be maintained when we leave the EU.

I've just signed the petition.
I don't know why there is such surprise that MPs don't care about animals to be honest. Most of them don't even care about their fellow human beings feelings or pain.

Quite correct and there are several people on here with the same mindset.

What was the upset a while ago about waving all EU laws through so there are no anomalies when we leave ?

You know......the one brother Corbyn was slagged off for objecting to because it didn't allow debate ?

I agree with you there Meg. We have much higher standards in many things. That's why I've been wondering what all the fuss is about us leaving.
