Number busy

I`m not one to worry much but mother is 92 and her number has been busy now for over 20 minutes. That is not usual.

Do you live near to her OG, if so, go round and see if she is alright, my MIL never puts the phone down properly, it looks like its down but its not.

Just keep trying OG.
Probably she hasn't put the phone back on the base properly.

Or have you got her neighbour's number you can ask them if they would pop in and check her for you?

Failing that, do operators still check a line?

Just a thought, but does she have a medical panic button she can push if she needs someone?

Has she got a neighbour that wouldn't mind you calling, and has she the panic button I suggested?

I thought you were just going to get the operator to check if the line was engaged talking?

The line is still busy. Could be a phone left off the hook,but why? Beds police will drop by to check she is OK

The operator could have given you an answer within minutes.
