Yes it is true, didn't want to wait for my Nikon D800 to be repaired, still awaiting the insurance company to see what they say

So ordered a new one a nikon d810

Oldest trick in the book - smash your old camera so you can justify buying a new one.

A nice bit of kit though and has good reviews.

Judd not a trick I had not got it in the quick release plate on the tripod properly.

This is my D800 baby with special sentimental reasons for owning it. If you really knew how upset I was you would withdraw what you said.

Only reason for getting a new one is I have an idea the D810 will soon go out of production, so decided to get one while new ones were available
