Re: Yesterday's snowstorm

Lovely photos. It's still falling here in London, but not thick flakes. Wish my wellies weren't in the car, as I don't have waterproof footwear otherwise.

Nice photos but no snow here. It is -7C outside, though.

Great photos.

No snow here in the SW, just rain and very windy.

The lighting was very challenging for capturing action shots, but I managed to get this Goldfinch in flight, the only one of I don't know how many.

I hope the Acer survives.

Some shots of the birds this morning.

All taken through the lounge window as the weather was far too foul to go out in.
Nice shots mate, especially through the window - never easy to get right. The feeder shot is my pick

Lovely photos Fogey and susiejaeger I love looking at pristine clean snow ... when it's someone else's.

Fogey, did you know that on your first photo that there's a Santa's face hiding in the bush to the left of the path.

Re: Yesterday's snowstorm

After another day of continual snow, I can officially say we are snowed in.

Deeper by Jeff Watson, on Flickr

The front of the house has some 14 inches of snow on the drive which will have to be cleared before I can get the car out.

We had a Salvia shrub that stands about shoulder height which is now a two foot mound of snow.
This little Wren landed on the this mound awkwardly and skied down the slope........

.........coming to rest half way down.
