I often wonder what became of Rick Shaw.
We had a fella in the tenements who used to make hatchets for us when we were playing cowboys and indians, he'd flatten a tin can then nail it onto a stick, he charged a penny halfpenny for his creations.
Wonder what happened to Tom O’Hawk.

They like to look efficient I suppose, some workers have mastered the art of looking to be very busy while in fact they are doing nothing.
A fella was here last week to clean the boiler thing, he had it done in five minutes but he spent another half hour running up and down the stairs and out to the back yard looking up at pipes, all to justify his 100 euro fee, and who can blame him, everyone's on the fiddle these day, goes right up to the top.

Oh I believe you.
My plumber has been rushing around banging the radiators, then playing with the knobs. Apparently that is balancing the system!!!!

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

does anyone recall the sitcom "BRush STrokes" must be a 70's thing - I was suddenly reminded of it this late evening and found it of course on Utube and very tight and funny script and great actors - spawning the notorious toffee nosed councillor in The Vicar of Dibley!!
