What is the smallest amount of money you would pick up off the footpath?

We see coins (and sometimes notes) lying on the ground as we walk along the street.

Do you pick them up, and what is the smallest value coin you would pocket? 1p? £1?

I rarely bother with anything less than 50p.

If it's there I will pick it up, no matter how small. And since it is found money I will drop it in the first donation box I come across.

Blimey - I never see note lying around - where do you live? I wouldn't bother picking up a 1p or 2p coin, but anything else I would.

There's talk of one and two pence coins being phased out so pick them up while you can.

Saw this today too. The cost of handling them may not be worth it.
