What are your favourite TV shows from the 70s/80s that are currently on Freeview?

I watched a recorded episode of Juliet Bravo (it was on around 4am) and forgot how well done it was. Perhaps not the best police series but pretty good for its time and with lovely locations.

Do you have any favourites you record? I don't think I'll ever get Sky or Now TV or any other service as I can find plenty on Freeview I like.

I don't actually remember watching the Sweeney but, of course, am familiar with it. I would have been 12 in 1978 and such a violent show would be banned in our household. I remember watching the Professionals, though.

Oh you're still young then Richard, about 52?

Sometimes the Sweeney and The Professionals are still on the TV.

I tell you one series I loved 'Randall and Hopkirk Deceased'.

I have Now TV, and it is excellent value @ £7.99 for the entertainment pass. You get access to a host of great programmes, Westworld, Game of Thrones, Get Shorty, etc etc, and loads of box sets. There is a catch up for all the main channels for all the shows that you may have missed. I got a great deal from Argos last year, just £15 pounds for the box and a 6 months free entertainment pass. You don't need Sky, unless you want all the football. As long as you have a broadband connection, you're good to go.
