Re: Road Rager?

The Renault 5 GT Turbo was a bit too fast for me by the time I bought it. I was 40 years old and just about free of the expenses and sensibilities of bringing up the family. The Renault was me 'breaking out'. Too late for that car really. The acceleration once the turbo cut in at 3000 revs was something to be beware of. It could run away more than expected.

You couldn't beat a late 80s/early 90s turbo charged Hot Hatch 135 bhp felt more exhilarating than 250 bhp today.

The poor woman must have felt really intimidated and there just wasn't any need for such road rage as she had had plenty of time to pull out? It was totally ridiculous and totally uncalled for.

Are you a angry driver or do you keep your cool.

By the way, I saw her hand come out of her car window and give him the feck off sign, good for her!

I wanted to shout to him, "whats up love, had no sex for a while" Seriously though, it really wasn't a joking matter, I really felt for that poor woman. What is the matter with some drivers!
I suppose we all experience that kind of driver at some time or another. Perhaps not much can be done other than to keep driving normally within the limits of the law and hope they get over their anger. They might overtake at the earliest opportunity thinking they are teaching you a lesson but at least they are gone.

I had an early, think it was 1980, Fiesta Supersport they called it, think they only made a few of them. It was 1300 cc with a twin choke Weber carb, lovely little car. They brought the XR2 out to replace it.
