Daydreaming is essential as the most brilliant inventions are brought about by daydreams
Also, it's an escapes valve from stress
Don’t we all daydream about being successful, or in a happy marriage/relationship? Fulfilling employment.
Of course, daydreaming about the unobtainable is stressful too
When I read an interesting book I daydream I am the heroine, and it is very real.
I’m Cathy galloping over the Yorkshire Moor on Horseback with Heathcliff
And , Oh! In the long grass in the Woods as Lady Chatterley with Mellors
And Scarlett in Gone with the Wind.

Dream on!!

I do so agree with you on the high-lighted bit Azure.

Escapism and a relief from stress, and without the need to resort to medication.
It is also FREE, available 'out of hours', and there for anyone to use.
