If you go down to the Sea again.

Some of my favourite photographic subjects are wading birds you find around our coasts.

Nesting Ringed plover.



Dunlin.



Lapwing, Peewit, or Green plover.



Redshank.



Sanderling.

Lovely photos - I see a few of those when I'm down on the beach. I've never heard of a sanderling though - I shall keep an eye out for that little fella

Thanks everyone kind of you to comment. BV the Sanderling are quite common in the Winter around our coasts. can form large flocks which feed at the edge of the tide, they look like clockwork mice running away as the waves come in.

This one was ringed in Iceland 2 years before.
