Re: Has anyone here had an MRI scan
The lady who booked my MRI scan told me that MRI scans are for looking at muscles and connecting fibres and that CAT scans are for looking at bones but when I rang the hospital to discus my MRI scan the radiographer told me mine was to look at my spine, so now I am confusedRe: Has anyone here had an MRI scan
Re: Has anyone here had an MRI scan
Thanks JBR, it wasn't a receptionist who booked it but the lady who saw me to examine me to get at the bottom of my problem but I don't know what her job title is, she herself booked me in to have the MRI done on my spine then told me what I explained aboveRe: Has anyone here had an MRI scan
Re: Has anyone here had an MRI scan
I had one recently but fortunately only went in as far as my shoulders so my head was out. I am claustrophobic so I would have to be sedated if the whole of me went in.Re: Has anyone here had an MRI scan
Like everything, first time is falsely worrying. You are given a button to alert operators if you are distressed. Go in relaxed. I'm on the seventh for acoustic neuroma and get a double dose each time.
