I need to weigh myself again soon, but I keep forgetting to. Then by the time I remember, I'm already fully dressed and don't feel like undressing again just to get on the scale.

Oh well. Maybe tomorrow I'll remember.

Today for lunch I'm keeping it very light because since it's Friday, we usually have pizza or subs or some such. I'll probably just make my own pizza out of pita bread with mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Far less fat and calories than ordered pizza.

been missing for a few days--just a busy time for me---still trying to eat sensibly--tonight I had some of my home made soup from last week--added extra veg--piping hot---perfect !!!!

There is absolutely nothing better than homemade soup. I love making homemade vegetable soup and I don't even follow a specific recipe, I just saute up some onions and garlic in a little olive oil, then just start tossing in whatever I have on hand. Fresh carrots and celery usually always, then whatever I've got hanging around, sometimes canned veg, sometimes frozen, sometimes fresh or sometimes a mixture of all 3. But regardless of what else I use, corn is a must. I love corn and put it in not only homemade soups, but I toss a handful into canned soups as well.

Finally remembered to weigh myself. Still down 1 stone, 6 pounds. It's so funny with me, because the scale will drop, then I'll stay at that weight for a while before the scale drops again. It's like my body is saying, "Whoa! Okay, that's good for now, we'll just stay here for a bit."

everyone is different Linda---you are still doing well. ! I am like you--see what is in the fridge or freezer and make a tasty soup out of it....

Sometimes those are the best soups, the ones you brainstorm at the last minute. Leftover zucchini? Chuck it in. Cabbage that's been sitting around too long but you don't want to throw out? Chuck it in. Oooo, a half pack of mushrooms that I'd forgotten about. That goes in too.

Then sometimes I have an overstock of canned vegetables, so I'll bust open tins of beans (like lima or pinto), corn, peas, green beans, etc, and I always add a tin of stewed tomatoes. But even with soup made from canned vegetables, I always toss in fresh celery and onions.

I also love homemade chicken noodle. Comfort food at its best.

What all did you put in your soup this time?
