Re: Should be Ashamed
QUOTE=zuludog;1376487]You're missing the point If our spineless government had negotiated a proper deal in the first place there would be no need for this sort of protest[/QUOTE]
Hi
The point is that they are not spineless, they are incompetent.
Cameron may not have had a plan, however May and the Brexiteers should have had one before sending in the Article 50 letter.
There is absolutely no point in setting off with no deal is better than a bad deal if we are not ready for no deal.
Our bluff has been called and we had to ask for a Transition Period.
I had hoped that the Referendum would be a wake up call for our Politicians and the Establishment, unfortunately not, they just carried on as usual fighting amongst themselves.
They now cannot deliver on their promises.
The incompetence is staggering.
Liam Fox did not communicate with the 40 odd Countries we have Trade Deals with as part of the EU.
He just announced we would continue the Deals and set the quotas and Tariff Schedules ourselves by means of Technical Adjustment, effectively telling them what will happen.
Unsurprisingly, they said naff off you arrogant git and complained to the WTO.
David Davies went off to the EU with a list of demands.
The EU said swan off,you are leaving the Single Market and the Customs Union.
The reality is that the UK is now outside the EU, so this is what you will get.
The best Free Trade agreement we have ever given anyone else and you can have it now.
But what about Services, we want Services included, they are our biggest Export to you.
Tough, you have said that the UK is ending Passporting, your Red Line, so off you go.
We want to remain part of the Medicines, Chemicals, Automobile and Aviation Certification Agencies.
We want to remain part of Open Skies.
Nope was the answer, all these are subject to ECJ rulings, another one of your Red Lines.
Your choice, your decision, live with it.
This is just incompetence.
