Re: Men. Why do we bother?

Love the description Tess. I do hope you find your bearded, eccentric, time-machine-inventor one day soon.
Who knows what the New Year holds ey. x

Re: Men. Why do we bother?

A WOMAN’S POEM:

Before I lay me down to sleep,
I pray for a man, who’s not a creep,

One who’s handsome, smart and strong.
One who loves to listen long,

One who thinks before he speaks,
One who’ll call, not wait for weeks.

I pray he’s gainfully employed,
When I spend his cash, he won’t be annoyed.

Pulls out my chair and opens my door.
Massages my back and begs to do more.

Send me a man who’ll make love to my mind,
Knows what to answer to ‘how big is my behind?’

I pray that this man will love me to no end,
And always be my very best friend.

A MAN’S POEM:

I pray for a deaf-mute gymnast nymphomaniac
with huge boobs who owns a bar on a golf course,
and loves to send me fishing and drinking.
This doesn’t rhyme, and I don’t give a s***.

Re: Men. Why do we bother?

Morning all and thank you for your replies.

Muddy I wasn't meeting any man, it was an online conversation I was having, so the other person couldn't see me, and all they had to go on was a head and shoulders shot. They also clearly had other 'important' criteria on their mind other than good conversation.

I know there are good men out there, but they're either married, or retired and want someone to go travelling with, which I can't do as I'm still working.

Tess I hope you find your eccentric bearded gentleman and ride off into the sunset to exlore other time zones. Sounds like you'd be blissfully happy.

In the meantime, I shall move on into 2017, manless, dogless and catless (last two impractical) and ponder the advantages of a budgie

Don't give up!
You can be flirtatious and polite. ....you can be suggestive and courteous.

To suggest 'decent chaps' don't flirt is blinkered and incorrect.

I've flirted with lots of our lovely ladies on here......id also hold open a door for them and I always walk on the roadside of the pavement when out for a stroll.

Flirting and being suggestive? This behaviour isn't gender specific either.

Should I just go and live in a shack in the middle of nowhere? Get myself a dog or a cat and howl at the moon? Answers on a postcard please to the home for the bewildered.
Sorry, one too many Baileys, rant over.
Most of the men I know aren't like that!

Think this must be a modern dating thing between older people I don't remember it being like that when I was dating back in the day and the youngsters here tell me they would expect a black eye if they spoke to a young lady like that.

They are terrified of plastic, particularly when a lot goes into the draw at bedtime. Confusion reigns,,, bed or draw bed or draw ?

Have you ever noticed that all these women who try to keep the glamour, with botox , implants, artificial bums, all look the same. For years I've been trying to reduce my backside, now they are all pumping them up ! Plus the 10" heels to make them stick out MORE !!!

All the 'pouts' and plumped up cheeks makes everyone of these women look the same, with puppet -like features.

A face with character , humour and lips that actually bend, has to be higher on the richter scale , surely ?

Now if I have offended anyone....sorry ,I'll go and hang my head in shame.
Personally I have always preffered large bottom in a women.
It becomes a great shelf for ones beer glass whilst dancing.

For my taste in women what I would be looking for.

I would like a bit of meat on the bone and the more meat means you are guarnateed never to waste good brass on fancy electric blankets.
I look for a good personallity, jovial like.
A good cook and she must loves music.
If she had a bit of brass in the bank I am sure I could put that down as a plus it would save her spending mine.

Hey I am a tight Northerner what did you expect.

To be honest Mupps I haven't had a good laugh for ages till I read most of the posts on this thread.
I have been reading them out loud in my best northern accent to our lass and we have been in stitches.
Keep it up girls.
