Ravings from the Labour Party Conference

Always good for a larf LoonyLabour have spoken ..

From their latest recruit, an IRA supporting commie..
John McDonnell admitted last night that there could be a run on the pound if Labour wins the next general election and Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister:

“What happens if there is a run on the pound? I don’t think there will, but you never know, so we’ve got the scenario plan for that… people will want to know we are ready and they want to know we’ve got a response to everything that could happen.”
Labour are war gaming what to do if there is a run on the pound – the plans are being undertaken by the Corbynista digital guru Richard Barbrook, who readers will remember supported the IRA’s armed struggle. He calls himself a “cybernetic communist” and wrote the book on “Cyber-Communism”. Sure that’ll calm anyone’s worries…
And there's more...Jeremy will not attack Russia if they attack a NATO country.....
In an interview with CNN Corbyn has refused to say if he would defend a Nato ally attacked by Russia. Labour moderates have sycophantically fallen into line with Jez at this conference, is this enough to provoke some dissent?

UPDATE: Fallon deployed:

“Jeremy Corbyn’s comments put our security and the security of our Eastern European Allies at risk at a time of growing Russian aggression and international threats. The Labour party must be crystal clear about whether it supports collective defence or will give succour to those who attack our democratic peace and security.”
After all, they do fund Labour via Unite, you can't shoot your paymaster, it's just not done...
But wait there's more..
This one I really liked..
Top Corbynista Chris Williamson is in today’s Morning Star heaping praise on the murderous regime of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. In a sit-down interview with the communist rag, Williamson lauded the failed socialist state as a model for Britain:

“Look at the investment in healthcare and housing… the country had eliminated illiteracy in Venezuela by 2005, I mean, ****ing heck, what a fantastic achievement. I saw it as an exemplar for this country…

“When the BBC asked me to do that Newsnight interview, I f*d and blinded at this producer guy who rang. I said: ‘Why have you asked me?’. Well, I was a bit more blunt than that. ‘What the **** are you asking me to come on for? I’m not a bloody expert on Venezuela, I’m just inspired by some of the stuff they’ve done.’… I went on in the end.”
Williamson dismissed the ongoing political and economic crisis, which has seen widespread violence against protesters and the midnight arrest of opposition leaders. He said: “Clearly, in the recent crisis that’s been going on, a number of police and security personnel have overstepped the mark.”
So wiping out you own people with machine guns is.."overstepping the mark.....a bit?"

A good day at conference for those with closed eyes and minds

Re: Ravings from the Labour Party Conference

Don't all parties have contingency plans if something happens they aren't expecting ? Oh no conservatives don't I nearly forgot the referendum the biggest change in our lifetimes and Cameron had no plan at all which ever way it went then ran away from the mess.

Give me forward planners any day over cowards that think they are so right they will never face anyone saying they are wrong.

Why don't you ever address a question UJ?
What's that got to do with Veneszuela a country with untold riches that is in utter chaos brought about by the actions of its socialist government .
There has to be some balance .

What's Venezuela got to do with uk ? We are different people in a different situation. Just because a country plays at socialism doesn't mean ours has to be the same.

I have little or no knowledge of what happens in Veneszuela and even less interest and since the thread was originally about the Labour Party Conference I have kept my observations to that topic.

Veneszuela was quoted by Chris Williamson in the LPC.

And as he said in the BBC interview - he too had little knowledge of what was happening there and no interest either.

How very convenient .
He knows they have done great things but he doesn't know the state of absolute desperation the people are in now ?
