I agree Sally, he's old enough to know better. His mother on the car too why didn't she stop him ?

I hope they send McPartlin down, there is NO excuse for drinking and driving. I also hope he is sacked by the BBC.

Whatever he has been through makes no difference, he shouldn't have driven after he had been drinking. Many people have been through much worse than him.

I think the guy is on break down. my heart goes out to him. I understand we all see things different and others may feel he deserves everything he gets. we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

The mere fact that he is a celebrity appears to 'colour' your sympathy, had he been just an ordinary person I don't think you would have been quite so sympathetic. Drinking and driving is an absolute no-no and if the magistrates 'throw the book' at him, then he deserves all he gets!!!
